The BNF collects, preserves, enriches and communicates the national documents concerning the history and culture of France.
ClicNet: Littérature francophone virtuelle
Links to various genres of literature, philosophical texts, correspondence and theater.
French Studies Web (European Studies Section, ACRL)
Provides annotated links to scholarly web resources and includes sites of particular interest to librarians specializing in Western Europe. It does not strive for exhaustiveness. Where possible, links to high-quality, scholarly meta-sites are given.

How to Evaluate Websites

Remember that anyone can post on the web. There is no editorial process so it is absolutely necessary to be very careful about choosing material for your research.

Pay close attention to the following:

Authorship
Publishing body (.edu, .org, .com)
Point of view or bias
Referral to other sources
Verifiability
Currency
Look for propaganda, misinformation or disinformation
