Hofstra University Library has joined The OCLC Research Library Partnership, which expands access to resources through SHARES, a resource sharing consortium. Hofstra faculty and student researchers would benefit from increased access to collections within SHARES partner academic libraries, law libraries, art institutes, and museums.
Benefits for Hofstra faculty and students:
- Comprehensive, expedited access to partners' collections through Interlibrary Loan, online document delivery, and in-person access at many partner libraries.
- On-site access for Hofstra constituents: partners aim to give each other's visiting faculty and scholars the same degree of access to collections and services that they provide for their own communities.
- Access to restricted, non-circulating, and special collections materials that partners would not normally lend.
Institutions in the SHARES consortium include:
- Bard Graduate Center
- Boston College
- Boston University Library and Law Library
- Brown University
- Columbia University’s Butler Library, Law Library, and Teachers College
- Cornell University Library
- CUNY Graduate Center

- Princeton University’s Firestone Library
- Rutgers University, and Rutgers Newark Law Library
- Stony Brook University
- Temple University
- Tufts University

2 ways to take advantage of this new consortium:
