Finding Ebook Central eBooks

How to Download Ebook Central eBooks from a Search Results List

  • You can download the entire content of any ebook to which we subscribe from any search results list by simply clicking on the download button to the right of the title (the icon with the down arrow):

  • When you click on this button, you will be prompted to log into your Hofstra account, if you are not already logged in.  Once logged in, clicking on the download button will bring up the following screen:

  • Select the appropriate response and click Continue.

Depending on your device selection, you will then be prompted to install Adobe Digital Editions or BlueFire Reader (from google playstore or itunes) on your device if you haven't already.  A link to the download page for these applications will be provided.

  • Once you have installed the suggested application, you can click on the link that says "Done with this step" to continue.

  • At that point, you may select a download period and proceed with saving the file to your device by clicking the Download Your Book button.
