Guide supports Professor Claire Lindgren's Great Designers class, AH 14F, taught in collaboration with Library Information class (First Year Connections). Students will study work of many contemporary fashion designers from Chanel to Donna Karan.

Getting Started

Welcome to the subject guide for the class, Great Fashion Designers - AH: 14F.  By using the tabs on the left, you will be able to navigate to the various sections of this resource. The guide highlights resources that have been chosen specifically for your research in this class.  We have chosen items that are available in the Axinn Library as well as items selected from the Web.  Please do not hesitate to make an appointment with me if you need further direction. You will find my availability in the left-hand box. In addition, if I am not available visit the Reference Desk on the first floor of the Library or use Live Chat on the homepage.

Print and eBooks

Our circulating books are held on floors 5 through 8.  Most books having to do with costume and fashion are located on the 6thh floor and books on photography are on the 8th floor. Books designated as Oversize are on the right side of the floor. Additionally, many of our books are in eBook format. Browsing is an excellent way to get a sense of what we own on this subject and can be very productive!
