Social Science Research Network Abstracts, working papers and preprints in a range of social science disciplines. Also for-fee papers. Contains some sociology.

OECD iLibrary Excellent source of books, reports, data and other materials published by the OECD. Good sources of statistics on a range of topics and of information on women in developing countries.

revues.org Maintained by the Centre for Open Electronic Publishing, contains full-text articles and books in social sciences and humanities. The articles may not all be from peer-reviewed journals. They are in various languages, although French predominates.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service NCJRS is maintained by the federal government and offers a variety of resources in criminal justice and substance abuse topics. It contains open-access materials largely from research projects funded by the federal government.
