Google Scholar: My Citations

This research guide will help you get started using Google Scholar. It will include some information on utilizing the new advanced features; My Library and My Citations.

My Citations: Getting Started

Google Scholar can help you keep track citations to your articles. You will have access to a variety of metrics that are updated every time Google Scholar finds new citations to your work on the web.  You will need to create a profile to use the My Citations feature.  Click on the   link at the top of the Google Scholar screen

If you have not set up your profile, you will be prompted to do so.  Just follow the instructions to search for the articles you want to track and and add them to your profile.  Be sure to check the Profiles Update page for information on how updates are made.

Once you have set up your profile, citation metrics for your articles will be displayed when you click on MY CITATIONS.   You can see your articles and the citing articles, delete articles,  add missing articles manually, and more.  You can also see all the articles that you have cited from the My Library page.
