This guide is designed to give you some tips on how to find information for your WSC assignments. You are often expected to find information in a variety of disciplines. This guide shows you some of the databases that may be useful to you.

Some Sources for Primary Source Material

There are a variety of places to search, although there is no sure-fire way to search for them. The key is to experiment with the keywords you use to search.

  • Discovery

Use this tab on the Library's homepage to search all of the library's resources.

Includes some freely-available narratives and memoirs.

Search the digital collections of the Library of Congress.

Contains millions of texts, videos, images, and audio files from across the United States, spanning all time periods.

A non-profit "library of libraries," it provides free access to non-copyrighted books, music, movies, art, etc.
