Government Information Guide

This guide will assist you in locating information from international, U.S. government, state, and local governments.


This page will help you locate federal government information by branch of government.  Executive Resources includes Presidential papers, speeches, memos, executive orders and materials produced by federal agencies and departments.  Judicial resources includes information on the federal court system, decisions and treaty documents.  Congressional  resources includes all those documents produced as a result of the legislative process; committee hearings, floor debates, reports and documents, committee prints, Congressional Research Service (CRS) reports, bills and laws.  If you are looking for a particular type of congressional publication, use the page "Finding Legislative Documents by Type."  There is also a page to help you "Find Legislative Analysis" which may be helpful if you are working on a policy analysis.
