Software for Citation Creation

Citefast

Creates citations in APA, MLA and Chicago citation formats. You can export citations or an entire Works Cited List to MS Word, or simply copy and paste individual citations.  Open a free account in order to save your citations.

Zotero

A powerful--and free--citation tool that can be used for longer research projects. Create an account and enter your sources easily by linking Zotero with your browser. It will synchronize with all of your devices and you can share your work with others. Install a plugin on Word and Zotero will pull your citations from your account and build your bibliography. See the guide, A Step-by-Step Guide to Using Zotero for help using Zotero.

ZoteroBib

A less powerful but easier to use citation generator. It supports a wide variety of citation styles and is adequate for most undergraduate research projects. You can also copy your bibliography to the clipboard and paste it into your Works Cited List.
