Film and Media Collections

Hofstra licenses titles by faculty request from Kanopy Streaming. Kanopy offers many titles but they must be requested in advance by a Hofstra faculty member.

In general, titles will be licensed upon request for required viewing for an academic course, at the request of the professor.

All videos from Kanopy can be embedded into Canvas or other authenticated university web pages by using the Share/Embed button below the video player. Just copy/paste the code provided.

It's easy to make custom clips and playlists for films from the Kanopy collection. There is a user guide available here.
