This guide will lead you to resources in the Fine Arts and Art History.

Cite Images

Images or illustrations can enhance your papers and presentations. Like written sources, images also need to be properly cited. Here are examples of the information needed for citing.

Basic information:

Include information in the following order:
  1. author (if available)
  2. year produced (if available)
  3. title of image (or a description)
  4. Format and any details (if applicable)
  5. name and place of the sponsor of the source.
  6. accessed day month year (the date you viewed/ downloaded the image)
