CAIR: The Council on American-Islamic Relations Established in 1994. Largest advocacy group for Muslim Americans. 

Islamic Relief USA: Working Together for a Better World Founded in 1993. Humanitarian in focus and an independent affliate of Islamic Relief Worldwide.

Islamic Society of North America One of the largest Muslim organizations in the United States. It is an offshoot of the Muslim Student Society. Formed in 1982. News, conference announcements and other information available. Translations of the Qur'an in English, French and German. 

Muslim Public Affairs Council Created in 1988. Works to change attitudes toward Muslim Americans and for civil rights.

Nation of Islam A religious and political organization founded in the 1930s in Chicago by Wallace Fard Muhammad. It has a largely African American membership.
