The Axinn Library is a vibrant center of scholarship, research, teaching, and creativity, playing an active role in the Hofstra University community and empowering and preparing students, faculty, and the broader community to thrive in all their pursuits and to become expert lifelong learners.

The mission of Axinn Library aligns with Hofstra's mission and core values through its support for student success, academic productivity, research excellence, and community engagement. Our services include technology-enhanced study and work spaces, information literacy and research literacy instruction, collection development, and facilitating access to information resources. The Library support intellectual freedom and a person's right to read, research, study, teach, and create new knowledge in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
