Accounting Articles & Literature
Journal articles focusing on accounting can be found in the various databases. These databases contain articles from scholarly, peer-reviewed journals, professional and trade publications as well as popular magazines. All of these databases are accessible 24/7 on- and off-campus. Most articles are available in full-text. When the article is not available through Hofstra subscriptions, request the article through Interlibrary Loan.
You can specify the date range of the articles and the type of article required. Articles are returned by relevance but this can be changed to most either most recent or oldest first. You can also change the default keyword search to title or subject using the drop-down menus.
ScienceDirect contains scholarly articles in various business disciplines. Click on Advanced Search. Limit search to journals (tab) and articles (check box). Select subject(s) (Business Management & Accounting and/or Economics, Econometrics & Finance from drop-down menu. Enter search terms in dialog box. Hint: enter phrases in double " " quotation marks.
