Where to Study in Axinn Library

This guide outlines study spaces in the library - silent, quiet, group study, study rooms. There's a place for you!

Group Study in Axinn

Group Study rooms in Axinn Stacks (floors 4-8).  Visit the Circulation Desk on the main floor to check out a key to one of these 16 rooms. 2 Hofstra IDs required. Rooms are available for 3 hour check-out on a first-come, first-served basis. When 3 hours are up, if other groups are waiting you will be asked to vacate. Sorry about that! These rooms are in high demand, especially between midterms and final exams. They are not fancy. Some have whiteboards, others have blackboards. Wireless is better in some rooms than others - see room page or ask staff at the Circulation Desk for details.

Second floor - Bookable Group Study Rooms.  201E and 201F seat up to 4. 201G seats up to 3. Book up to 3 hours at a time, up to 1 week in advance, online at libcal.hofstra.edu.

Ground floor - Bookable Group Study Rooms. Room 1, 2 and 3 seat up to 5, and have a flat panel monitor for presentation sharing. The wall monitor in room 1 is currently out of service. All rooms have whiteboard walls. Book up to 3 hours at a time, up to 1 week in advance, online at libcal.hofstra.edu.
