The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Library is a BMJ Case Reports Institutional Fellow. All Northwell and ZSOM users will not have to pay individual Fellowship fees when submitting case reports. Please contact the library to obtain the Institutional Fellow code.

The most common preprint servers used in our scientific community are:

A Note of Caution:  Articles printed on these or other preprint servers should always be considered works in progress as they may not have gone through a formal or thorough peer review process. In some cases, retractions may not appear in PubMed or other sites for several days or weeks. As such, they may not be reliable on their own as either scientific evidence, public policy or the basis of treatment.

PubsHub (Northwell / ZSOM) is web-based repository of medical journal and congress information. Includes information on the impact factor, circulation, time to acceptance, and much more.

Journal/Author Name Estimator (JANE) is a freely available web-based application that, on the basis of a sample text (e.g. the title and abstract of a manuscript), can suggest journals and experts who have published similar articles.
