Access to additional eBook and journal titles are available through the Electronic Medical Information Library (EMIL) and the School of Medicine (SOM) library site.
To access eBook and journal titles on EMIL (click to expand):
- Access the Northwell Intranet homepage (either from a Northwell Health campus or via myRemoteAccess). It's recommended to use the EMIL app when accessing via myRemoteAccess.
- Click the EMIL - Library Services link under the Quick Links dropdown
- Click the Find a Journal or a Book menu on the left-hand toolbar
- Select either E-Journals or E-Books. Both links will take you to the e-Journal & e-Book Portal.
- You can either search for a specific title or browse by subject/title.
- If you're browsing by subject, psychiatry materials can be found under the Health & Biological Services category. Please keep in mind that the resources found under "browsing by subject" is dynamic and is subject to change based on our eBook collection access. Furthermore, the subject tagging is not consistent with the subject tagging on the SOM library site.

- Access the SOM Health Sciences Library homepage
- Click the Journals link
- You can either search for a specific title or browse by subject/title.
- If you're browsing by subject, psychiatry materials can be found under the Psychiatry - General category. Please keep in mind that the resources found under "browsing by subject" is dynamic and is subject to change based on our eBook collection access. Furthermore, the subject tagging is not consistent with the subject tagging on the EMIL site.
