Temporarily Free Resources from Ovid

Our library vendor is providing free access to the Firecracker study platform until June 5th. If you want to have access, please send your name and email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You will receive an email from Firecracker with logon information.
GIBLIB is a platform of video lectures in surgery, medicine, and specialties. You will receive an email from the vendor with your login information. Access the link and click on the blue Sign In button.
Access includes all free content and Case X files. Access will be available until June 30th. Please use your Hofstra email to login.
Single sign-on (SSO) access to Osmosis is now also available under MyApps on the Hofstra portal. For non-SSO access, please use your Hofstra email address.
Rx Bricks is a part of the USMLE Rx platform. Please be aware that access is only for Rx Bricks and nothing else. You will receive an email from the vendor with your login information. Once you're logged in, please scroll to the bottom to access Rx Bricks.
Access the link and click the Log In link. All students should be activated under their Hofstra email address. Students should select the Learner Login option.
All McGraw Hill (e.x. AccessMedicine), ClinicalKey, and LWWHealth platforms have text-based cases and self-assessments. Self-assessments require users to register for a free personal account via each platform.
AccessMedicine Case Files Collection
This collection provides both basic science cases, clinical cases, and post graduate cases.
Over 150 continually updated virtual patient cases, teaching resources and assessment tools.

Covid-19 Patient Simulation
This "virtual patient" case is presented as a simulated patient experience and goes over the coronavirus differential diagnosis, important diagnostic tests, management including infection disease precautions in the hospital, and home discharge protocols.
