Finding and Reading Ebsco eBooks

You can find available Ebsco eBooks by using OneSearch, which is available from the Library's home page ( You can also search directly on the Ebsco eBook site.  Ebsco eBooks can be read directly in your browser window.  Many titles can also be checked out and downloaded to your computer or other device.

***Please be aware that not all Ebsco eBooks are downloadable.***
If you do not see the "Download" link, then the entirety of the eBook cannot be downloaded. However, the content can be read on screen and there may also be an option to download a chapter and/or a limited number of pages.  Detailed information in this regard can be found in the left column of the eBook viewer (see "Download a Chapter of an eBook" tab in the box below). The limit will also be reiterated when you click on any of the options to save, e-mail, or print pages from within the PDF or ePub view of the work.

Additionally, you may occasionally find that you are unable to download an ebook because it is a single user ebook and someone else has already checked it out (i.e., downloaded it).  Please be advised the checkout period for these single use titles is up to seven days.  You do have the ability to place a hold on the title so that you are notified when it has been checked back in and you can download it then.

For information and instruction on downloading Ebsco eBooks, see their own libguide here.
