Journal Finder: How to Find the Full Text of Articles in Periodicals: Find a Journal by Title

This guide shows you how to locate the full text of an article when it is not available in the database you are searching.

1. Open Journal Finder from the Library's Homepage.

If you are looking for a specific journal and you know its title, you can learn from Journal Finder if Hofstra has access to it either in print or online.

To check Journal Finder, go to the Library's homepage and click on Journals:

2. Look at the Journal Finder Search Results.

If Hofstra owns or has access to the journal, Journal Finder will list each database to which Hofstra subscribes that has the journal, along with dates of coverage. If Hofstra owns the journal in print, that will be indicated as well, along with the dates of coverage.
