Since we cannot have face-to-face library instruction, I developed this guide to assist you in completing your research assignment.

Your Assignment

Your Assignment

1. Find 10 articles on a topic of social controversy

2. The articles should be recent: ideally they should be written within the last 6 months

a. Note: this may not always be possible, although it is more likely with newspaper than with magazine articles

b. If you are unable to find articles written within the last 6 months, you will need to find ones that are older. If you have any doubts check with Professor Montemurro

3. You will then write an argumentative paper, in which you take a position that you support with evidence from the articles you read

If I can be of any assistance to you, I am happy to help. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
