This guide is designed to give you some tips on how to find information for your WSC assignments. You are often expected to find information in a variety of disciplines. This guide shows you some of the databases that may be useful to you.

Citation Formats

MLA Style

See the MLA Citation Guide This is a guide to some of the most commonly used and cited types of sources. It includes guidance both on creating Works Cited lists and on In-Text parenthetical citations.

For a complete searchable online guide to MLA citation style, see the MLA Handbook Plus, which also contains guides to both undergraduate research in literature and digital literacy.

You can also look at the print edition of the MLA Citation Guide: 9th Edition, shown below:

APA Style

See the APA Style Quick Guide for citing the most commonly used types of sources.

The American Psychological Association's APA style site includes guidelines and examples.

You can also use the print book, Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
